Jawahar Hill Station
Jawahar (180 kms from Mumbai) is amongst the least known hill stations near Mumbai, it has picturesque waterfalls, scenic views and a unique tribal flavor to it. Jai Vilas palace is the palace of erstwhile tribal kings and located in Jawahar. One can witness the tribal culture and learn or witness the famous tribal art of Warli painting in and around Jawahar.
Harnai Beach
Harnai-Anjarle (238 kms from Mumbai) is one more off beaten place near Mumbai and no one talks about the serene beaches of Harnai-Anjarle. Relax at the quiet beaches here and stay away from crowds. There is a Sea Fort and an ancient Ganesh Temple and plenty of mouth watering local food available here. One can also take a sea excursion and spot dolphins. Fish auctions are interesting and worth a site.
Meteor impact crater at Lonar, Maharashtra
Lonar Crater is the world’s third largest crater and is said to have been formed by the impact of Meteorite 50,000 years ago. Lonar can be clubbed with a weekend at Aurangabad exploring the Ajanta and Ellora Caves. The meteor crater rim is around 1.8 kms in diameter. The trek down to the lake to solve the mystery of perennially full lake in dry Buldhana district of Maharashtra.

Paragliding In Naukuchiatal
Naukuchiatal (320 kms from Delhi) means ‘lake of nine corners is a small hill station in Nainital district. The lake is 175 feet deep and is situated at 1220 metres above sea level. The beauty of this place is to die for. The quaint little town has amazing weather. The place is surrounded by hills and covered with trees and shrubs. It is deepest of all lakes in Nainital district. Naukuchiatal is also famous for ‘escape festival’ which happens once a year (In May).
This temple was constructed by the Chand Rajas, who had once their summer capital at Binsar.
Binsar (380 kms from Delhi), once the empire of Chand Kings of 7th century, Binsar today has a beautiful forest and bird sanctuary is a bird watcher’s paradise and boasts over 200 species of birds along with various reptiles, you can enjoy a complete 360 degree view of the Nanda Debi, Kedarnath, Shivling and Trishul peaks from the heart of the sanctuary.
