This morning the music world are mourning following
yesterday’s tragic news of the suicide of Linkin Park’s frontman,
Chester Bennington.
As details emerge of Chester’s death, a note from his son seems even more poignant, telling his rockstar father to ‘love life’.
The note, that was posted on social media by Chester’s widow Talinda Bennington, was written by his son Tyler just a month before his death.
In the heart-warming message, that was written on a post-it note, 11-year-old Tyler wished for his father to enjoy his day, while making reference to the band’s song Castle of Glass.
Chester’s wife, Talinda shared the sweet snap on social media at the start of June, and captioned the post:
Our Tyler is the best!
Tyler’s note wrote:
Although she is yet to make a public statement, his bandmate Mike Shinoda responded to the tragic news on Twitter.
Shinoda, an original founder of the band said:
Linkin Park recently performed in the UK on the European leg of their ‘One More Light’ world tour, which saw them play in London, Birmingham and Manchester.
The band were due to co-headline with Blink-182 at New York’s Citi Field on July 28 in what was billed as the “Welcome to Blinkin’ Park” tour.

Chester Bennington was an artist of extraordinary talent and charisma, and a human being with a huge heart and a caring soul.
