Dhinchak Pooja, who crooned songs like ‘Selfie maine le li aaj’, ‘Swag wali topi’ and ‘Dilon ka shooter’, took the internet by storm with her videos garnering over a million hits almost instantaneously. Her videos, despite the ‘cringeworthy’, ‘off-tune’ and other labels, became quite a rage and spurred even popular Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam to give them a shot.
According to reports, her videos were taken off Youtube after a user ‘Kathappa Singh’ allegedly reported her songs for copyright violation. Her latest video ‘Dilon ka shooter’, which she came up with after ‘public demand’ is still out there, though.
While it is unclear who this Kathappa is, the ‘Bahubali’ namesake is already being hailed as a saviour on social media sites, with some even invoking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s promised ‘Achhe din’ slogan to drive home the moment of solace.
Meanwhile, with the complainant’s identity remaining unknown, a question that lingers this time- Why did Kathappa kill ‘Dhinchak Pooja’ videos?Kathappa Ne Dhinchak Pooja Ke Videos Ko Kyun Maara?🤔#NationWantsToKnow #DhinchakPooja Kathappa Singh #KathappaSingh pic.twitter.com/r70YhKVGEl— Sir Ravindra Jadeja (@SirJadeja) July 11, 2017
